Happy Easter to all! Still nothing to report. Due to this being Hali's first litter and the surgical AI she may be a little delayed. She is going through periods of looking like she is going into labor, to periods of complete rest. My money is on my wife being up all night. (for my sake I hope not) I will continue to post if anything occurs. John Add Comment Sunday7:30am 04/24/2011
Still nothing to report. Hali is wanting to dig like crazy everytime she is let out side. I was up all night with her in the hopes Hali would start delievering. I had to go to work this a.m. (maybe I can get some sleep here) so now she is in the hands of my wife Kristi. Will update with any news. Sat. 12:01am 04/24/2011
Why do puppies always come after midnight and for me either a day I have to go into work or on a holiday. Last time it was X-mas day and this time its Easter Sunday. No sleep for me tonight. Hopefully she starts to deliver soon. Saturday 11:30 04/23/2011
For some unknown reason I thought Friday was the 23rd, so I was one day off. Hali is actually due today and she is acting like it. She is miserable and has lost some of her appetite. I believe she is going to deliver right on time. Friday 10:00pm 04/22/2011
Nothing new to report. Attitude still has not changed. Ran around the back yard this evening like she was not even pregnant. Waiting -waiting and more waiting Friday 11:00am 04/22/2011
Once again Hali's temp has dropped to 99.5. Hopefully she delivers in the next 24hours. Keeping our fingers crossed for lots of puppies. John Friday morning update 04/22/2011
Hali's temp rose back to 100.5 last night. Will be taking it again this morning and this evening to see if it drops. She is still running around not acting like she is going to deliver. Maybe another day or so. Will keep everyone posted, Puppy update for Thursday 8:45 am 04/21/2011
Hali's temperature was 100.5 last night and now has dropped to 99.5. If temp continues to hold at 99.5 it should indicate that puppies will deliver with in the next 24 hours. Whelping room is ready and so is Hali. Appetite is still good but is not "nesting yet" Thanks to Lenda Barker for lending me her whelping kit. Hali and Oatie puppies 04/06/2011
Hali continues to grow. Each day her belly continues to expand. We started her on Purina Pro Plan lamb and rice puppy food aprox 2 weeks ago to give her the extra nutrition she will need to turn out healthy puppies. Check back for puppy updates.
