Facilities
Fall / Winter- Arizona
Code 3 Retriever's facilities currently consist of a 5 kennel set up with in a 1500 sq foot building. The kennels were designed with indoor sleeping areas and 4 foot by 15 foot outdoor run areas. All indoor sleeping areas stay warm and dry in the winter and are air-cooled in the summer.
Grounds
Our training areas consists of multiple locations. We are located in the far west valley aprox 20 miles west of down town Phoenix. We have aprox 2 acres of land for our use in yard drills, immediately surrounding our property and travel to other locations for field work. We have arranged agreements with several local farmers as well as we use the local Gila River to compliment our training.
Spring / Summer- Montana
We have recently acquired a 20 acres parcel with 2 very nice ponds on site in Western Montana. We are currently developing the ponds as well as boarding facilities to accommodate our summer training program.
Transportation
We are currently transporting our training dogs in a custom made,12 hole chassis mount dog box set on a trailer. The truck allows us to carry 8-12 dogs along with all of our training equipment to the field or to hunt tests. The truck has a 40 gal water tank and an installed evaporative cooler which allows the dogs to cool down during the training day and keeps them comfortable on long trips. The cooler in conjunction with 4 inches of insulation in the box helps to extend our training season in the arid Arizona climate.
